The winter storm warning is in place for Denver, The Front Range, and northern mountains until 3:00 pm October 8th, 2017. The snow will start out very wet and heavy and could cause possible tree damage in the area. According to the weather forecast, the snow will be melting quickly in lower elevation areas so there isn't much concern for packing on the highways.
The storm will be accompanied by very cold temperatures bringing on a freeze warning for Denver and eastern Colorado through9 am Tuesday.
The storm will be a fast mover as Tuesday afternoon temperatures will get back into the mid 50's. We recommend that everyone takes this as a sign that winter is right around the corner and starts prepping their vehicles.
